Media Release 8 November 2026

Right to Life congratulates those who have been elected to exercise the privilege to govern us for the next three years. Those who govern us should not forget that that they govern with the consent of our community.

We have a duty to support our Parliamentary democracy, by supporting those who have been elected to Parliament to defend the right to life, the family and the common good.

Right to Life believes that all the members of our Parliament have a fundamental duty to defend the right to life of every member of our community, from conception until natural death. They should be opposed to the violence of abortion, the killing of more than 17,000 innocent and defenceless children in the womb each year, and to the violence inflicted on their mothers, the second victim of abortion.

They should also be opposed to doctors killing 500 vulnerable patients each year by euthanasia, using a lethal injection, or assisting in their suicide.

We also believe that members of our Parliament should uphold the rights of the traditional family, of exclusively one man and one woman, ordained by God for the procreation of children.

Right to Life is grateful to the Conservative Party for commendably upholding and defending the right to life alone among all parties, and upholding the importance of the traditional family and upholding freedom.

They deserve the support of the whole community. Right to Life believes that we desperately need members of the Conservative Party in our Parliament, in order to defend the right to life and the rights of the traditional family, which are increasingly threatened, or under attack.

Right to Life is most disappointed that the Conservative Party will not be present in the next Parliament.
