Torture of God’s precious unborn children denied!

The United Nations Human Rights Council [ UNHRC] is currently conducting its fifth periodic review of New Zealand’s compliance with the UN Convention Against Torture.
Right to Life believes that poisoning, scraping unborn children from their mother’s wombs or dismembering them is violent torture, contravening human rights and the UN Convention Against Torture.
Right to Life believes that The United Nations should be at the forefront in defending the defenceless unborn and their precious mothers, but they are not. The UNHRC rejects classifying abortion as torture inflicted on the defenceless unborn and their mothers. It does however consider that denying women the right to kill their children before they are born, restricting abortion or criminalising abortion as constituting torture.
Rather than punishing countries for allowing abortions, the UN actively reprimands countries for banning them. Major examples where this has occurred include: Nicaragua and El Salvador: The UN Committee Against Torture has repeatedly challenged these nations, stating that their absolute bans on abortion place women's lives in jeopardy and violate international obligations under the UN Convention Against Torture.
The review takes no account of torture inflicted on unborn children in New Zealand.
The Ministry of Health has advised Right to Life that the provisional total of abortions in New Zealand for 2025 was 17,964. Of these 11,871 children were poisoned and 6,093 children were scraped out of their mother’s womb or were dismembered.
The Right to Life advocates passionately for the view that international human rights frameworks, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, protect the "right to life" of all human beings. This protection should extend from the moment of conception, making any intentional termination of pregnancy a violation of the inalienable right to life which has been bestowed by our Creator on every human being at their conception.
Right to Life will not rest until abortion is recognised as torture of the weakest and most defenceless members of our human family and a violation of the UN Convention Against Torture.
