State generous in paying doctors for killing vulnerable patients!

Euthanasia is intrinsically evil, it violates the Fifth Commandment of God, “Thou shalt not kill.”

In response to an Official Information Act from Right to Life, Health New Zealand advised our Society on 12 August of the provisional total number of assisted deaths in New Zealand provided by the 10 practitioners with the highest total payments received, along with the total fees payment to each of these 10 practitioners, under the Assisted Dying Service Notice 2021 for the period 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, broken down by individual practitioner:

Health New Zealand advise that the remuneration data does not include travel payments made to Individual practitioners.

There have now been a total of 1,686 vulnerable patients killed by their doctor or assisted in suicide since the passing of the End of Life Choice Act in 2019 by Parliament at its third reading with 69 in support and 51 opposed. There were 486 patients killed in the year ending 31st March 2026 with a lethal injection or assisted in suicide by a doctor under the guise that this was health care.

Right to Life applauds those doctors and nurses who uphold their medical ethics to defend the right to life of every human being from conception to natural death and refuse to participate in euthanasia or assisted suicide.

Right to Life encourages doctors and nurses who have been seduced by the state to believe that euthanasia and assisted suicide are “compassionate health care” and provide death with dignity, to recognise that euthanasia violates medical ethics and the Fifth Commandment of God, “Thou shall not kill.” There is no dignity in being killed by your doctor.
