Right to Life welcomes the US Department of State’s opposition to the killing of our unborn!

Right to Life applauds the United States government and its Department of State, for its historic and unprecedented defence of human rights. For the first time in the history of the United States, the Federal government has declared that the killing of unborn children is a violation of human rights.

The State Department has instructed its embassies and consulates around the world to record the violations of human rights of every nation, including New Zealand. This information will be included in the annual Country Reports on human rights practices. There are 2 essential statistics required, the number of state funded abortions, and the number of contraceptives and abortifacient drugs funded by the state.

The New Zealand government now has to decide: is it going to be a friend and allie of the United States in upholding human rights and the right to life of God’s precious infants, or is it going to continue to promote and fund abortions, poisoning, scraping out of their mother’s wombs and the dismembering of innocent children? Our failure to protect the right to life of our unborn could have adverse repercussions for our trade and relationship

with the United States.

New Zealand claims to have an unimpeachable record in defending human rights. Right to Life knows that this is a fictional claim. A nation which funds the murder of more than 17,000 defenceless unborn children, and funds contraception has no claim to be a leading international defender of human rights.

Right to Life warmly welcomes the United States newfound advocacy for human rights internationally. It is the intention of Right to Life to support and encourage the US Department of State to actively engage with the government of New Zealand:

• To support human rights and a culture of life,

• To recognise that human life begins at conception, that every child is a unique and unrepeatable miracle of God’ loving creation that has been endowed by its Creator with an inalienable right to life.

• To repeal the Abortion Legislation Act 2020, and to outlaw the murder of the unborn and the wounding of their mothers.

• To cease the taxpayer funding of contraception and abortion.

• To promote life saving alternatives to abortion, parenting and adoption.

Right to Life looks forward with confidence to working with the US Department of State, and other pro-life groups in New Zealand to defend the lives of our children and their mothers’.
