Matthew 5:10: "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
Right to Life believes that the Prime Minister who commendably recognises abortion as murder should rescind his declaration that the abortion legislation is fixed law and may not be changed while he is Prime Minister, to provide protection for the lives of unborn children and their mothers. Right to Life believes that his declaration constitutes religious persecution.
Our Creator God has commanded us in the Fifth Commandment that, “You shall not kill”.
We thus have a religious duty to protect the right to life of every human being from conception to natural death.
The Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon, has a duty to promote a culture of life and to oppose a culture of death. By prohibiting amending pro-life legislation to the abortion laws that allow the killing of defenceless unborn children up to birth he is:-
• Abdicating his responsibility to protect life.
• Imposing religious persecution on the members of Parliament who are silenced in defending life.
• Prohibiting members of Parliament from promoting amending pro-life legislation.
Right to Life believes in our Parliamentary democracy, where those who are elected to govern us are to serve us and are there with our permission.
Right to Life requests that the Prime Minister respects our democracy and ceases the persecution of religious freedom.
