Media Release 8 March 2026

We entreat God to spare our nation from the severe chastisement that is due to us, for killing His precious infants in the womb, and the wounding of their mothers spiritually, physically and psychologically, forgive us for we know not what we do.

Right to Life joined with other N.Z. pro-life groups in supporting the annual National March for Life in Auckland this year (previously held in Wellington) . The March was held on Saturday 7th March 2026 in Queen Street, central Auckland.

Right to Life was represented by 3 members of our executive. We were pleased to join more than an estimated 1500 people in attendance.

The marchers, who had gathered from all over New Zealand, marched together in solidarity to celebrate the gift of life, to ask for God’s forgiveness, to stand for mothers and fathers and to grieve with women who were wounded by the violence of abortion and to pray for their spiritual healing.

The march was an inspiring witness to parliament, our nation and the citizens of Auckland, of the value of every human life from conception to natural death. It was also a call to end the state sanctioned war against women and the state funded violent murder of the unborn under the guise of “health care”.

Right to Life asserts that the State funded and approved killing of God’s precious infants is an abomination that gives great offence to God, the author of life who lovingly formed each child in its mother’s womb. We weep for the estimated 49 children who are poisoned, scraped out of their mother’s womb or are violently dismembered every day in New Zealand.

We proclaim the truth that regardless of the circumstances of the conception of the child, that it is a unique and unrepeatable miracle of God’s loving creation that deserves our love, respect and protection.

The conscience of our nation is deeply burdened with the innocent blood and broken bodies of the more than 566,000 unborn children who have been murdered in New Zealand since 1978 following the passing of the Contraception, Sterilisation and Abortion Act in 1977.

Right to Life is committed to pursuing:-

• legislation recognising the humanity of unborn children from conception, endowed with an inalienable right to life.

• We reject the fiction that every woman has a right to kill her children before they are born and that abortion is “health care”.

• We are committed to work for the repeal of the extremist Abortion Legislation Act 2020.

We will continue to march until Parliament fulfils its duty to legislate to stop the killing of our children and provide effective legislation to protect the lives of every New Zealander from conception to natural death.
